After I retired the business suit I had noticed within weeks something had began to change about me, all of my pants now required a belt of all things to keep them up, was I seeing the evidence of weight loss although this was not an intended goal of mine?
While I had previously been commuting and running my business in the CBD, I was a constant 98Kgs (even though that was at times a battle to maintain)! It was after 4 weeks of starting my home business I noted that I had lost an amazing 13 Kgs of weight, I was doing no additional exercise, and the only change to my diet was that I had started eating breakfast after walking my dog (something I never had time for in the past, eating the breakfast that is), surely a breakfast that consisted of bird food (Muesli) and yogurt was not going to have the effect on my body of weight reduction?
I can only now speculate, that as a result of working from home in an environment that I am comfortable with, that allows me the flexibility and time to arrange my thoughts and actions was indeed assisting with my unintended weight loss. I attribute this to a number of things, I was no longer having to run from one coffee meeting to another, then a luncheon appointment only to be followed by another coffee meeting, possibly followed later in the afternoon with another meeting that would involve imbibing alcohol and possibly bar snacks.
Working from home had eliminated all those unnecessary actions and their inevitable consequence - an artificial body weight and capital expenditure!
I have remained at 85Kgs now since the end of May without any further exercise or dietary regime being implemented over that which I have always maintained.
Thank goodness I work from home!
