My cigar of the week is the Perdomo 'Patriach' - Robusto.
This is a premium cigar given its name to celebrate Nicholas Perdomo Snr, a bold businessman and a superior cigar maker. It was therefore only appropriate the Nicholas Perdomo Jnr. would have to produce a bold cigar of the highest quality.
The cigar is traditionally hand made in the favourite blends of Nicholas Perdomo Snr. with tobaccos taken from the Nicuraguan valleys of the Esteli, Condega and Jalapa and as a result is, dark and deep in flavour, spicey, with rich coffee undertones and at times renders a little hint of bittersweet chocolate.
A savoury flavoured cigar, not for the faint hearted.
