Cigar of the Week

My Cigar of the Week is a Don Bienve Limited Reserve en Tubo de Crystal.

I had purchased a small quantity of these local  cigars from the cigar area within the Doll  House in the Fortaleza area of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico early in October of this year.

The Limited Reserve I have discovered is distinguished by the aged filler from Puerto Ricos 1981 crop. This cigar also has a Puerto Rican binder and a Cameroon/Puerto Rican (Connecticut seed) wrapper.

This is a balanced cigar of medium strength, with a sweet scented aroma.

I really enjoyed this cigar, and would certainly be proud to keep a few more of them in my humidor.

  1. The construction and burn were good and the flavor was excellent. I will be honest, I approached this cigar with a acceptable bit of skepticism because of the amount point and the fizz surrounding it, but it earned every bit of the praise.
